Japanese investment firm Metaplanet has taken the next step in its ambitious plan to acquire 1% of all Bitcoin by the end of 2027. That’s a massive 210K $BTC.

The company has also announced plans to issue up to 555M new shares in a bid to raise $5.3B. Simon Gerovich, CEO of Metaplanet, describes this as ‘Asia’s largest-ever equity raise dedicated to Bitcoin.’

In more good news for crypto, the Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) has announced that the SEC has approved its Bitcoin Treasury plan.
This means the company can use the $2.3B raised from 50 institutional investors to buy $BTC.
Trump Media is the publicly listed company behind the Truth Social platform, streaming service Truth+, and the soon-to-be-launched fintech Truth.fi.
